I have XP home - sp.1, 1.7 gig processor, 256 rdram, Nvidia Geforce Mx 64 meg graphics card..... PSP 8.01 The problem with the command history started I certainly hope so because I really love this program, but found myself going back to PSP6 (and missing the background eraser and a few other new features).

At this point, there's probably no going back to Home as you attempted an upgrade and some of the Home file were overwritten by Pro. You might have a chance of installing Pro

Going back to XP Home would be a downgrade, so you would need to format the drive and clean install Windows. This means you would lose all data on that drive. However, from your post I'm guessing that your original installation came with prebundled applications like an office suite and the like.
